THE NOW WORK SUMMER WALK

  • Hampstead Heath, London (map)

Join us on Friday 9th August for The Now Work’s first community walk, an opportunity to gather, move and be together.

We will meet at Gospel Oak overground station for a brief introduction and then walk for 45 minutes from the station through Hampstead Heath, ending at the Hampstead Heath station whilst listening to a powerful immersive sound journey through the 4.6 billion year history of the Earth, as told by Dr. Stephan Harding.

This is an abbreviated version of Harding’s Deep Time Walk which is a guided walk of 4.6km, helping us better experience and embody this 4.6 billion year history. At this scale every millimetre represents 1000 years, every footstep, 500,000 years and every 2 footsteps, a million years.

This walk is an invitation to view the world differently, to connect with where we are in time and place as well as connecting with one another, to recognise that where we are today is the culmination of an extraordinary journey of development and to inspire as we take our next step and go about our day.

We will start with some introductions and a brief embodiment practice and we will close our walk with a short meditation so the event will be an hour in total, but you are welcome to stay on and chat beyond this time.

You can register for this event HERE & please remember to bring headphones!
