WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY?
Yoga therapy is a personalised therapeutic approach that uses the principles & practices of yoga to address specific physical, mental & emotional health conditions.
Recognising that our physical and mental health are not separate things, yoga therapy applies various mind body techniques including: movement, breath work, nervous system regulation, somatic practices, polyvagal theory, meditation, self enquiry and reflection techniques in an integrated way to improve and enhance a person’s whole health. It is a truly unique & holistic form of therapy combining ancient yogic wisdom with modern science.
How is yoga therapy different to a yoga class?
In western culture, yoga has become synonymous with physical postures or asana, yet it offers so much more. Yoga therapy draws from the full yoga toolkit including postures (asanas), breathing practices (pranayama), sound, visualisation, meditation & relaxation techniques, yoga philosophy, even recommended changes in lifestyle, to create a holistic practice that is tailored & designed specifically for you.
What conditions is yoga therapy useful for?
Yoga therapy is increasingly recognised as a valuable complementary practice within health care services across the UK where it is being used to help with a broad range of conditions.
More specifically, I have experience working with the following: stress, anxiety, burnout, chronic fatigue syndrome, long covid, insomnia, ADHD, back pain, neck & shoulder pain, as well as supporting women in prenatal, postnatal, peri-menopause & post menopausal health.

Payment options
In a world of quick fixes, yoga therapy is a process of unfolding, letting go and making space, in order to receive and re-pattern body, breath and mind. As such I would recommend 6 x sessions to allow yourself to reap the benefits. However sometimes a single session can also work wonders.
Individual sessions:
Initial (new client) intake session (90min ): £80
Ongoing (existing client) sessions (60min ): £65
Block sessions:
6 x 60min sessions (note: initial new client session is 90min)= £350
10 x 60min sessions (note: initial new client session is 90min)= £540
